Kelly Osbourne A Role Model

Published by mickie31 at 5:46 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Kelly Osbourne is a lovely sweet girl who has been through many difficulties in her life to get where she is today. Recently she has been in rehab and been brave enough to talk publicly about her problems with drug addiction. Considering the amount of people all over the world that suffer with drug addiction I think that Kelly Osbourne is absolutely amazing to come forward and talk of her experiences so frankly and honestly. Kelly Osbourne is a role model for anyone on drugs to see that you can overcome addiction.

For those that judge Kelly Osbourne for being addicted to drugs think about this. When you are a celebrity you have to go out every night in places where there is drink and drugs. You have to go to the pubs and clubs with all the rest of the celebrities because if you don’t then you will soon lose your popularity. It is easy to get into the dark world of drug addiction and alcoholism because of the type of places you hang around and the people you mix with. As well as hanging out in the wrong places money isn’t usually a problem so you can afford the most expensive drugs without having to rob, steel or beg.

Kelly Osbourne recently admitted to People magazine that she would throw herself down stairs to get drugs. Kelly admitted that she couldn’t count the amount of times she had deliberately thrown herself down the stairs just so her doctor had to give her medication for the pain.

Speaking about her life when she moved from London to Los Angeles last year, Kelly told People magazine: “I couldn’t see tomorrow. I was using anything to make me sleep during the day. I got really into smoking pot.

“It’s so embarrassing the number of times I’ve thrown myself down the stairs to try to hurt myself to get pills. My only relationship was with the pizza delivery guy.”

Kelly Osbourne is a talented 24-year-old presentor engaged to model Luke Worrall, 19. Before Kelly Osbourne decided to come off the drugs she feared for her life and recognised that the only way out was by going to rehab. Kelly Osbourne deeply seeks happiness and going through rehab was the light at the end of the dark tunnel. For anyone who has had depression, drug abuse or any other mental health problem then they will know it is like going through a dark tunnel. You cannot see any light and every day you wake up wondering if it is going to be any different. You see the sun shining outside but, inside you feel thoroughly depressed and miserable. There feels that there is no way out, like you are in a dark prison cell and want someone to turn on the light. Depression is a dark, lonely place to go and people don’t want to hang around with you because they think you are too negative or accuse you of feeling sorry for yourself. Have you ever heard the term, “pull your socks up?” well… people think that it is as easy as that, but it isn’t. It is never that easy if it were half the population who suffer with depression, addiction or mental illness would be able to click their fingers and make it go away. I think Kelly Osbourne is extremely brave to come forward and talk about her drug addiction.

I think it’s great that Kelly is willing to get help for her addiction. I think that she is a good role model for other people in the same situation that she’s in.

Good Post! Yes, It is really admirable that Kelly came forward and talked about her addiction which is of course the first step also towards recovering.
