At Calgary airport on July 26th Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne the royal couple of heavy metal were given white Stetsons from Elizabeth Wesley who is the manager of hospitality relations the
Calgary airport.

As part of the city’s tradition and history white cowboy hats are given to welcome honored visitors of the city.It is a tradition that stems 60 years and notable visitors are presented with a white cowboy hat in a lively ceremony.

The tradition was first set up in the summer of 1946 when Morris Smith made the white cowboy hat. Nowadays the white Smithbilt is recognised the world over as a symbol of Calgary City and Western hospitality. Today celebrities, athletes, politicians and other notable individuals receive a white Smithbilt by each mayor of Calgary since World War II.Many fans gathered to greet Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne the royal couple of heavy metal  at the terminal of Calgary International Airport on Friday afternoon.Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne the royal couple of heavy metal  arrived in the city for the all-day Monsters of Rock festival on Saturday at McMahon Stadium featuring Black Sabbath and Judas Priest.

Fans screamed for Ozzy and Sharon as the couple recited the pledge “duly treated to exceptional amounts of heart-warmin’, hand-shakin’, tongue-loosenin’, back-slappin’, neighbour-lovin’ western spirit” they “solemnly promise to spread this here brand of hospitality to all folks and critters who cross my trail hereafter.”The couple have now become part of Calgary City history and have received one of the famous hats. This just goes to show that Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne are the royal couple of heavy metal Way to go!
