I recieved a blog comment yesterday that read:

“Are you out of your mind? Kelly and Sharon Osbourne’s only talent is being related to Ozzy. That’s it, end of story. While I respect Sharon for sticking with Ozzy through all his drug and other problems. Kelly and Jack are just another couple of celeb. kids who no one would have ever heard of, or cared about otherwise.”

Well thanks for this kind message because it’s given me inspiration today to write this blog. So today I thought I’d respond to that message. Aimee, Kelly and Jack are all talented in their own right it isn’t fair to say they are only famous because of their parents. They are all talented in their own right and whilst I agree there are some people who live in the shadow of their parent’s fame I don’t believe that Aimee, Kelly and Jack do. I thought I’d do something a bit different. I want to show that Aimee, Kelly and Jack are very talented people and would be celebrities with or without their parent’s fame. If they were not serious about their careers then they would chose something different. They would have chosen to be a shop keeper or something else. They didn’t have to choose to follow the career path they have chosen.

It isn’t all glamorous being in the media either. There are a lot of things that don’t get seen by the general public. I know this because I have trained to be an actress and have a Btec National Diploma in Performing Arts so I have seen what the industry can be like. As well as the fame the industry can be down right bitchy and nasty. There are certain expectations that a celebrity has to live by. We can look at Jim Jeffries recent comments and see that looks are very important. If you haven’t got the looks then you can almost kiss your career goodbye. Looks are everything in show business that is why so many people have cosmetic surgery. There are also weight issues and if you are even over a little amount of the normal weight then people will call you fat. As Sharon Osbourne said it is better or more fashionable to be a drug addict than it is to be fat in show business. What kind of a world is it? It is tough and difficult. Nobody would choose to be a celebrity if they weren’t serious about it. It really isn’t as easy or glamorous as it might look. Now let’s look at what Aimee, Kelly and Jack have achieved in their careers.

Kelly Osbourne: At the age of 22 Kelly appeared in Chicago on the
West End as prison warden Matron Mama Morton.

A source said: “The word on the street is that Kelly is going to play Mama Morton in
Chicago from September. She’s been practicing like mad.”

Practicing like mad? That doesn’t sound like someone who is only in the world of showbiz because of her parents. It sounds as if it is something she really wants to do.

Kelly Osbourne Career Achievement’s

• Kelly also had a guest part in ‘Life As We Know It’
• Kelly also had a great deal of reality TV success including Project Catwalk 2 series.

• Not to mention Kelly’s singing career that included a send-up of Madonna’s “Papa Don’t Preach” and Sony/Epic made Kelly Osbourne a full-length.
• The Osbourne Family Album.
• The album Shut Up that was later reissued as Changes
• Sleep in the Nothing appeared via Sanctuary in June 2005
• CD Bat Out Of Rehab Too was written and produced by Swedish robots

Multiple magazine covers, chatty interviews, and her participation in the Osbourne’s’ I have no doubt missed some of Kelly’s achievements out, heck; she is reaching new career goals every day. I could never list them all.

Jack Osbourne Career Achievement’s

• Appearance on the TV show The Osbourne’s
• He worked for Epic Records as a talent scout
• He worked alongside
  Sharon in managing his father’s yearly touring festival, Ozzfest.
• He had a bit role in New York Minute.
• He took part in a film starring the Olsen twins.
• He had his own show on Channel 4 entitled Union Jack.
• He co-hosted the ITV2 show, Celebrity Wrestling: Bring It On!.
• He is studying to earn a GED.
• Jack Osbourne also had his own show Adrenaline Junkie on ITV2 that featured Jack’s training for extreme sports like rock climbing and mountaineering.

I have probably missed something out.

Aimee Osbourne Career Achievement’s

• Aimee has appeared in several fashion shows
•  In magazine layouts
•  In” Mercedes-Benz Does LA Fashion Week
• In MTV movieWuthering Heights
• Shas appeared on the television news magazine 20/20
• In 2006,  A & E’s Biography series aired a documentary on Ozzy Osbourne in which Aimee appeared. Where she provided commentary about her father.
• Aimee was in “Intimate Portrait” 
• She appeared on “Howard Stern”
• And on “Behind The Music”
• Aimee also appeared on “Ozzy Osbourne Don’t Blame Me”.

And there are many more. This is a great resume from each of them from so called talentless people that are riding on their parent’s fame.
